THERESA May will today plead with MPs to back her Brexit deal after it was rubber-stamped by EU leaders.

The Prime Minister took a major step forward yesterday as her 585-page plan was signed off in just 33 minutes at a historic summit in Brussels.

But she now faces the fight of her life to get her Brexit blueprint through Parliament.

In a Commons statement today, Mrs May will say: “This has been a long and complex negotiation.

“It has required give and take on both sides. That is the nature of a negotiation. And I can say to the House with absolute certainty that there is not a better deal available.

“There is a choice which

MPs will have to make.

“We can back this deal, deliver on the vote of the referendum and move on to building a brighter future of opportunity and prosperity for all our people.

“Or this House can choose to reject this deal and go back to square one.

“It would open the door to more division and more uncertainty.” Labour joined more than 80 Tory MPs in declaring they intend to vote against the plan.

Leader Jeremy Corbyn said Labour will oppose the deal and work with MPs from other parties to block a no-deal Brexit.

He added: “It gives us less say over our future and puts jobs and living standards at risk.”
