Musk eyes on Horizon

BRING Me The Horizon are designing jackets for celebrity fan and rocket man Elon Musk.
The UK rockers teamed up with the famous entrepreneur’s pop star girlfriend Grimes on upcoming new album, Amo.
As a result a wee bromance between frontman Oli Sykes and Elon began.
Oli told me: “We did a design on a jacket that was influenced by him with the words ‘We Feed The Simulation’ on the back.
“Me and Grimes talk quite a lot so I sent her a picture and asked what Elon might think.
“She said, ‘Oh my god, he’s going to f***ing love it!’, and asked us to send him one.
“Then a couple of weeks later he tweeted about it, which was cool.”
Grimes features on the band’s song Nihilist Blues from their new album, due in January.
Oli said: “We were very lucky, I generally listen to avant-garde electro music, and Grimes is the No1 for me. She’s so inspiring.
“She was really buzzing on the track, saying it was one of the greatest songs she’d heard in her life.
“Getting her stamp of approval was a huge bonus.”
The band will play older material over two nights at London’s Alexandra Palace tonight and tomorrow.
Oli laughed: “It’s quite surreal. “Our [new] record was supposed to be out at this time, so we thought we wouldn’t play much of the new stuff, and some people have been asking for these older songs for so long.
“The internet blew up after we did them.”
