TRAGIC LOU KILLED BY BOOB JOB

- By JACK ANDREWS jack.andrews@dailystar.co.uk

A “BEAUTIFUL and devoted” mum of three died from a blood clot after having a boob job.

Beauty therapist Louise Harvey passed away 17 days after surgery, an inquest heard.

The 36-year-old, from Norwich, had wanted to “improve her appearance” so decided to increase the size of her bust at a London clinic.

But a fortnight later she was rushed to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with breathing difficulties. Medics found a clot and she died on July 5 this year.

The cause of death was a pulmonary embolism resulting from the procedure.

A full inquest will take place at Norwich Coroner’s Court in March.

Ms Harvey’s heartbroken friends have created a JustGiving page to help her children – Kayleigh-Anne, 18, Owen, 11, and Jaxon, six.

Mark Hutson, who set up the page, said: “It has been a shock to us all that this beautiful, young devoted mother of three has been taken away from us so early and without warning when she had so much to live for.

“Louise’s legacy is her children. We only wish to provide them with the love and support they need now and for the future.”

Pulmonary embolism occurs when a blood clot gets caught in an artery from the heart to the lungs.

Patients are at increased risk of developing one after surgery.

Professor Beverley Hunt, medical director of charity Thrombosis UK, confirmed: “Surgery of any kind increases a person’s risk of suffering a blood clot.”

She advised anyone with symptoms such as shortness of breath, unexplained pain, swelling or tenderness to get help.
