DRACULA might have scared the living daylights out of his victims in the past.

But in a new BBC drama about the evil blood-sucking vampire, he’s going to be funny.

TV chiefs have signed Danish actor Claes Bang in the lead role.

And he has teased that he will be adding some giggles to the horror.

Claes said: “I am thrilled to be taking on the role of Dracula.

“I’m so excited that I get to dig in to this iconic and super-interestin­g character.

“Yes he’s evil, but there’s also so much more to him.

“He’s charismati­c, intelligen­t, witty and sexy.

“I realise that there’s a lot to live up to with all the amazing people that have played „

NOW has ended, co-host Rylan Clark-Neal must be looking for something to do.

And here he is working as a Just Eat delivery driver.

But fans needn’t worry as he hasn’t turned his back on showbiz.

The X Factor, for one night only the former finalist is going to hop on a bike to deliver takeaways to some unsuspecti­ng food fans.

Claes has appeared in many TV shows in Scandinavi­a, including the political thriller Borgen, which has aired in the UK.

But he caught the eye of producers after starring in the American TV drama The Affair, and the movie The Girl In The Spider’s Web. Dracula is being turned into a BBC/ Netflix series by Sherlock writers Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss.

The duo are clearly set to give the vampire – made famous in the Bram Stoker classic novel – a whole new twist. Filming on the show begins next year.
