AL SANCHEZ

Raging star wants out

- By JOHN CROSS

ALEXIS SANCHEZ has been left raging after his latest snub from Jose Mourinho.

His relationship with the Manchester United boss is now at breaking point after he did not make the bench for the Champions League win over Young Boys.

It has strengthened Sanchez’s determination to quit Old Trafford as he fears he has no future at the club under the current regime. The Chilean, who is on more than £500,000 a week, has told pals he wants to quit United and has set his heart on a move to Paris St-Germain.

Mourinho went public with the fact Sanchez was not injured against Young Boys and there is a belief that was done very deliberately to make it clear the 29-year-old was dropped.

His move to United last January is in serious danger of becoming one of the costliest mistakes in Premier League history.

But Sanchez’s latest exclusion was a surprise because he played in United’s win at Juventus earlier this month and was also a substitute against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Crisis

He has managed just one goal in the top flight this season and his form and confidence has taken a huge hit.

Sanchez is one of several disaffected players who are struggling at Old Trafford under Mourinho.

The former Chelsea boss is under pressure with United seven points off the top four in the league.

But Mourinho’s knack of getting into Champions League knockout stages has eased the crisis, although the belief in the dressing room is he is likely to be gone by next summer.

Tuesday’s last-gasp match-winner Marouane Fellaini believes the fact United have qualified for the last-16 with a game to spare will spark them into life in the Premier League.

He said: “It’s always difficult to come back after the Champions League but we’ve an important game against Southampton on Saturday and we must try to get the three points.”
