Two days left to claim lotto bonanza

LOTTERY chiefs are using wanted posters and an army of vans today in a bid to find the missing winner of a £76million jackpot.

Bosses are calling on support of local mayors in their hunt for the EuroMillions ticketholder.

The lucky winner bought the ticket in the Boston and Skegness area of Lincolnshire this month. They have until 5pm on Sunday to write to Camelot to scoop the mega prize.

Along with the ad vans, the National Lottery launched a campaign yesterday and called for retailers’ help to find the winner.

Andy Carter from the National Lottery said: “It’s important that any player who thinks they may have misplaced their ticket and thinks they have a genuine claim to the prize notifies us in writing by

5pm on December 2.”

The ticket matched the five main numbers and two Lucky Star numbers. The winning EuroMillions numbers on that date were 5, 15, 17,

37, 44 and the Lucky Star numbers were 7 and 11.

Camelot can pay out prizes for stolen, lost or destroyed tickets only if the player lodged a claim in writing within 30 days of the draw. If they provide enough evidence, chiefs will investigate the claim.

Meanwhile, no-one won Wednesday night’s Lotto jackpot, meaning the cash pool has climbed to nearly £4million.
