Wolves boss Nuno has no ears over magic Morgan

WOLVES boss Nuno Espirito Santo says boy wonder Morgan Gibbs-White will not be causing him problems.

The 18-year-old played a starring role to help beat Chelsea on his full debut.

Now the Molineux chief has to decide whether to stick with the teenager against Newcastle tomorrow or return him to the bench as main man Ruben Neves returns.

Nuno believes England Under-19 ace Gibbs-White is level-headed and won’t be worrying over his new-found reputation.

Local lad Gibbs-White turned in an eyecatching display in the 2-1 midweek win over the Blues and was taken off near the end to a standing ovation.

Nuno (right) said: “He’s played one game and he played very well. How can that be a problem for me?

“It’s fantastic. He plays well, people admire him and our fans are happy. That’s not a problem.

“I understand why people are excited about him but he has to stay the same boy he is now, very humble.

“The excitement is normal but you don’t want to rush things. He has a lot to learn.” Nuno is not concerned about midfielder Romain Saiss’ return to St James’ Park for the first time since he was alleged to have been racially abused by Jonjo Shelvey.

The Newcastle midfielder was banned for five games and fined £100,000 after their Championship clash in 2016.

Saiss did not hear Shelvey’s outburst but an FA hearing decided Shelvey called him “a smelly Arab c***” after hearing evidence given by several Wolves players.

Nuno said: “I don’t know about anything that happened before. It’s the past. “Forget about it. There’s no need to talk about it – that’s my feeling. It would only distract you if you thought about it. It won’t help.”

The former Porto manager revealed he was only interested in building on the win against Chelsea – their first in seven games.

He added: “Given the quality of the opponents, it was very important for us. “We won a very difficult game, now we must think only of Newcastle.”
