MY best friend broadcasts her whole life on social media.

I think she’s insensitive and cruel.

She knows I’m a reluctant single and I’m looking for love.

Yet in the past year, she’s bragged about her engagement, pregnancy and new child.

Last February she was in Australia and then Thailand with her fiancé. I think I could tell you exactly what they had to eat and drink every single day.

Now she’s got her decorations up and is planning the perfect Christmas. She’s getting married next spring and is already posting shots of the wedding venue, flower ideas and the honeymoon plans.

It just feels as though she’s rubbing my sad old face in the dirt. Any time I make a sarcastic remark she simply looks at me pityingly. JANE SAYS: It’s fashionable these days for folk to post every tiny detail of their lives.

You may view your friend and her fiancé as a smug couple, but she obviously feels she’s providing a public service.

Is she boasting? Yes, of course she is, but she’s not actually harming anyone. It’s all a bit of fun.

If you don’t like it, then stop looking at it. If you want a life like hers, then make it happen. I hate the idea of you looking at her pictures and becoming bitter; that is a wicked waste of time.

It’s not her job to keep looking over her shoulder and worrying about your feelings.
