TELLY star Mark Wright is coming back to the UK for the sake of his marriage.

The former Towie star has had a hit run on the NBC primetime US entertainment show Extra, which is shot in Los Angeles. But the gruelling filming schedule has forced him to spend months at a time away from Michelle Keegan, his wife of three years. And now Essex pals claim he has ditched LA so he can start a family with the Our Girl actress as soon as possible. A source close to the couple also dropped a hint that Mark, 37, is feeling broody.

The insider revealed: “He is heading home and the next step will be when to start a family.” Wrighty was such a hit with telly bosses in the US that NBC chiefs were hoping he would stay and work on another series. But he bargained with them to let him work as a European contributor so he could settle down fulltime with Michelle. A US-based TV source said: “Wrighty’s done well in the US and has become a popular face. He was well liked by viewers and the show executives rate him. “But he has found that success tough to balance with being away from his wife and has now decided to head home.

“He and Michelle did well to stay so strong during this time apart, but doing it again would be tougher.” Now Mark hopes to start building up his telly career in the UK and has already landed a plum job presenting The Bachelor on Channel 5.
