Helpers beaten over reindeer noise
SANTA and his elves got beaten up in front of crying kids by a crazed bare-footed woman in a row over the noise from reindeer on his sleigh.
SANTA was attacked by a crazed barefoot woman when he stopped to drop off presents.
Crying children watched as Steve Hill, 62, and his female elves were kicked, punched and scratched.
The woman, who was angry about the music coming from the sleigh, even pulled off Santa’s beard.
Autistic Michaela Holmes, 23, who also has epilepsy and cerebral palsy, was overjoyed when the sleigh pulled up outside her home.
But she was forced to cling to a lamppost for “dear life” when the 15-minute assault began in Cleethorpes, Lincs.
Her mum Laura, 42, who booked Santa’s visit, said: “Michaela loves him and was crying when he arrived.
“The woman pushed me and because Michaela can hardly walk she was clinging to the lamppost.” The attack ended when Laura’s partner Andy Grant pinned the woman against a wall.
One of the elves suffered a cut hand and another was hurt in the stomach.
A woman was interviewed by police but released without charge.
Big-hearted Steve, from Grimsby, has toured the area with his sleigh for 15 years, delivering parcels wrapped by Grimsby Lions Club.
