Chisora is held back in flare-up

- By MARTIN DOMIN

DEREK CHISORA had to be restrained as he confronted rival Dillian Whyte’s brother amid chaotic scenes at yesterday’s weigh-in.

Chisora unwittingly pushed his own trainer Don Charles into a screen as both fighters’ teams clashed.

Security officers were forced to step in as a repeat of the shameful scenes which tarnished the rivals’ first brutal brawl threatened to break out.

Two years ago Chisora was fined £25,000 and got a two-year suspended ban for throwing a table at Whyte in the build-up to the first fight.

Both men were warned about their conduct ahead of their rematch this week.

But after a relatively calm few days of build-up tempers flared once again.

After the London rivals had both scaled 17st 8lb, Chisora said: “I was just having fun with Dillian, then some fat guy that he rolls with decided to say something – and it kicked off from there.

“I was chilled, they were the ones hyping up. Dillian tried to push past and have a fight for no reason.

“I’m chilled, I’m easy going and I’m about to blow up their bubble.”

Whyte was unruffled by the incident and said: “When we were face-to-face he didn’t say anything but when we got backstage he started chucking insults at my brother and my team.

“He said that he’s going to ‘get them’ after the fight – he’s done that before.

“It sparked a kerfuffle, nothing more. I’m calm, relaxed and smiling.

“With Chisora you have to expect certain things. He feels like he has to do something and you can never underestimate what this man is thinking.”
