Harry & Meghan double trouble

COULD IT BE ROYAL TWINS?

- By RUTH McKEE ruth.mckee@ dailystar.co.uk

ROYAL insiders are convinced that Meghan Markle is pregnant with twins.

The Duchess of Sussex, 37, is expecting her first child with Prince Harry in April.

But sources close to the couple suspect they might be looking at a double arrival this spring.

Rumours are swirling around the palace that the royal nursery could be set for two cots for the first time in six centuries.

The last recorded pair of royal twins were born to James I of Scotland and his wife Queen Joan in October, 1430.

One of the tots, Alexander, died but his brother James went on to become king.

One high-ranking courtier has even placed a bet on Meg and Harry needing a double pram for the first set of twins “since James I of Scotland”. Bookie Paddy Power has suspended bets on the chances of royal twins after a sudden flurry of wagers. A spokesman said: “An unprecedented amount of bets on Meghan and Harry to have twins has forced us to stop taking bets on the market altogether this morning.

“Since the day began, the stream of bets has led us to believe that perhaps the punters – or an insider source – knows something more than we do.” Ex-Suits star Meghan has also fuelled speculation that her baby might arrive early. She told one fan that she was “nearly there” when she chatted to wellwishers at the Christmas church service in Sandringham.
