Reds hot favourites to end wait

JURGEN KLOPP’S in-form Liverpool are the new favourites to win the title as they entertain Arsenal tonight.

It has been a wonderful festive period so far for Reds with six league wins out of six in december and they are now 4-6 at BetVictor to win their first Premier League crown.

Shock defeats against Crystal Palace and Leicester leave champions Manchester City at 7-4.

Liverpool have won 26 league games in 2018 and their defence – led by the brilliant Virgil van Dijk – have only conceded seven goals at the half-way mark of the season with 19 games played.

The Gunners meanwhile have not kept a clean sheet in their last nine league games on the road.

They are unlikely to be able to keep the hosts out for 45 minutes let alone 90 minutes and it is hard to see past another three points for the Anfield giants given how poor Arsenal were – especially in the second half – at Brighton on Boxing

Day.

The Reds are unbeaten in their last seven games in all competitions against Arsenal and have scored at least twice against the north London outfit in their last five home games between the sides. Liverpool are 1-2 to keep the points with the Gunners 11-2 and the draw at 15-4.

Mesut Ozil was withdrawn by Unai Emery at half-time at the Amex for tactical reasons and you would have to say it was a move that proved to be less than inspired.

His Arsenal side looked way off the pace in the second 45 minutes.
