Kane can keep pressure on at wily Wolves
WHAT a turnaround at the top of the Premier League table this month.
Defeat at Arsenal at the start of December sent Tottenham down to fifth.
But Mauricio Pochettino’s side have bounced back to win five games on the trot and leapfrog Manchester City into second spot.
Meanwhile Liverpool continue to run away with things at the summit.
And with the festive fixtures continuing to come thick and fast, focus turns to Wembley where Spurs will host high-flying Wolves. I’ve been very impressed with the Black Country outfit so far this season.
They have looked a real threat when against the division’s big boys.
So, am I expecting more of the same today? Probably not. They’re up against a side who have goals coming from every area on the pitch with 11 in their last two games.
And considering the visitors have only five clean sheets to their name this season, it’s easy to see why Harry Kane is just 4-6 to get on the sides finding the net at a very attractive 21-10.
City are at Southampton who will have every reason to believe the champions are there for the taking.
And at 3-10 I wouldn’t be backing an away win with confidence.
Instead, I like the look of another major shock – Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton winning or drawing at 5-2.
