GARY Barlow says he and pal Jason Donovan adopt a celebrity identity when they go on holiday.
The former X Factor judge revealed they do an impression of someone famous for the entire trip.
One year they spoke in Sir Michael Caine’s Cockney voice, while in other years it has been Sir Cliff Richard and Sir David Attenborough.
And celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is “always a good one if we run out of ideas”.
Gary, 47, said: “Our favourite holidays are when we go away with Jason and Ange Donovan.
“Our kids all went to school together, they’re all the same age and they get on great.
“Together, Jason and I become an act.
“The girls sit and talk about us right in our faces, our harshest critics.
“They’re like the two old dudes in The Muppets, up in the royal box, passing comment, mostly on how immature we are.”
One year, Gary combined Attenborough with the late Sir Bruce Forsyth because Jason was going on Strictly Come Dancing.
Gary wrote in his book A Better Me that Jason said he was “going to start practising early” for Strictly, and was “dancing round the swimming pool for two hours a day with a mop”. Gary said: “We all sat and judged him. Everyone’s watching from behind their hands.”
