Stricken star ‘in very best hands’
MICHAEL Schumacher’s family is doing “everything humanly possible to help him”, his wife has said.
The stricken F1 legend’s wife Corinna assured fans the driver – who is 50 today – was “in the very best hands”.
Race ace Schumacher suffered life-changing brain injuries in a skiing accident in 2013.
Corinna, 49, said his relatives would gather together today to celebrate his “victories, records and jubilation”.
The family occasion, which also marks the launch of an app, comes after months of rumours about Schumacher’s condition.
Corinna said on Facebook: “You can be sure that he is in the very best of hands and that we are doing everything humanly possible to help him.
“Please understand if we are following Michael’s wishes and keeping such a sensitive subject
as health, as it has always been, in privacy. At the same time we say thank you very much for your friendship and wish you a healthy and happy year 2019.”
She added: “We are very happy to celebrate Michael’s 50th birthday together with you, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts that we can do this together.”
