Apparently up to 3,000 people have volunteered to help in hospitals thruout UK. Those that aren’t getting under the feet of dedicated staff will find out their Florence Nightingale ministrations may not b met with enthusiasm by lazy staff and anguished patients. Whem u r tied to an IV line feeling like hell, last thing u need is som smiling volunteer offering a foot/head massage or read to u. My response to that eejit not for delicate ears of Forum readers. a teacher on the news was moaning about cuts to her budget and not being able to cope. We counted 3 women helpers in her class with about 30 kids! I was in a class of 42 kids with 1 teacher and were all well educated. What a nation of pathetic wimps we’ve become. Oap
