BIRD-BRAINED FILM9 FANS’ DEADLY CRAZE

Netflix calls on blindfolded fools to end madness

NETFLIX last night urged fans not to take part in a dangerous online challenge inspired by its horror film Bird Box.

In the post-apocalyptic movie Sandra Bullock’s character and her children wear blindfolds to avoid seeing mysterious creatures who cause people to kill themselves.

But idiots have taken to social media to take on the so-called Bird Box Challenge, risking their lives for “likes” by carrying out day-to-day tasks blindfolded.

Some are doing mundane activities such as eating dinner and combing hair.

But others have filmed themselves falling down escalators and stairs.

In extreme videos blindfolded morons are seen driving cars, running into traffic and shooting guns.

One man randomly swings an axe in a garden, smashing anything in his way.

Some are putting blindfolds on kids who are seen falling over and knocking into furniture as adults laugh off camera.

In one video a blindfolded man runs through a house at speed holding the hand of a blindfolded toddler who smashes into a wall.

Streaming giant Netflix last night begged people not to “hurt themselves” or “end up in the hospital due to memes”.

Netflix tweeted: “Can’t believe I have to say this but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THE BIRD BOX CHALLENGE.

“We don’t know how this started but Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you do not end up in the hospital due to memes.”

Bird Box is available to stream on Netflix UK.
