names like Burn In Hell Fidel (surprisingly tasty). Another area which has more recently risen up from Miami’s rich cultural scene is Wynwood.

Here artists and graffiti designers from all over the globe battle for wall space for their work on any building they can find.

We toured the colourful painted district with two artists called Ryan and Pedro, who set up the Miami Best Graffiti Guide golf buggy trips as well as being responsible for some of the artwork here themselves.

They explained the rules of the graffiti world – how spray-can gangs would compete for the best spaces and the unwritten respect of street art veterans.

But it’s still the beach that is Miami’s biggest draw.

A playground for the rich and famous who live here, you can take a boat trip to see where the likes of Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez and Matt Damon have their waterfront mansions.

But staying on the beach is just as glamorous. Among the big hotels that sit along the sand, the opulent and historic Eden Roc is one of the best known.

It won an award from the American Institute of Architects for its work in preserving its historic 1950s roots, while being renovated into the stylish modern celebrity haven it is today.

Back in the 1950s Elizabeth Taylor and Nat King Cole used to come to sip cocktails.

Nowadays its three pools are adorned with beautiful bodies also sipping cocktails, sunbathing and soaking up the music from the resident DJ. There’s a spa with a relaxation room you might never want to leave, with floor-toceiling views across the resort and beyond.

Each of the hotel’s newly redecorated beach chic rooms face the ocean. And Eden Roc won’t break the bank either.

New all-inclusive packages mean the hotel is affordable all year round for anyone wanting a taste of the A-list action.

But it’s by night that Miami comes to life. While the round bar is buzzing with guests clinking glasses and excitedly anticipating their night out, the queue for Nobu intensifies as a chart-topping rapper is ushered inside.

For all the healthy starts here, Miami dictates that your day usually ends with a drink in hand.

It’s a city that works hard and plays harder. The nightlife scene is full of clubs hosting the latest DJs and the hottest venues change as quickly as the beach towels.

But propping up the bar at Eden Roc, you know you have a venue that will never go out of style. ROOMS at the Eden Roc Miami Beach hotel start
