Ryanair worst for 6th year...

-

RYANAIR has been named Britain’s worst airline for the sixth year in a row.

A sky-high 70% of passengers vowed to never travel with the much-hated budget carrier, according to a consumer watchdog.

Travellers gave the under-fire company the lowest possible ranking for boarding, seat comfort, food and drink, and cabin environment, the annual Which? survey revealed.

Public anger at Ryanair rocketed after it ruined the holiday plans of thousands in 2018 by cancelling flights and then refusing to pay compensation.

One angry holidaymaker said: “There are too many rules. I worry about getting caught with hidden costs.”

Ryanair failed to leave the runway, coming 19th out of 19 operators.

Rival easyJet, on the other hand, came 11th.

It soared ahead of its cheap rival, and even British Airways, which only managed 15th.

The others at the bottom of the short-haul ranking were Thomas Cook Airlines.

In 2017, British Airways promised improvements after scoring just 52% and 50% for its long-haul services.

At the top of the pile, Jet2 impressed with its service, seats and boarding, earning a customer score of 75%.

Which? Travel editor Rory Boland said: “Ryanair has spent the last two years cancelling thousands of flights.”

Ryanair insisted passengers will continue to book with them as “having the lowest prices”.
