Advantage
in controversial circumstances in the 26th minute when Kane found himself through on goal.
Referee Oliver initially gave offside on the advice of his linesman. But VAR ruled the England striker was being played on by Cesar Azpilicueta’s right foot.
Hacked
As Kane had gone on to be hacked down by Arrizabalaga, Oliver had no choice but to award the penalty and book the keeper.
Kane doesn’t miss those, but Chelsea almost hit back when N’Golo Kante hit the outside of the post.
They hit the woodwork again just before half time too when a Callum Hudson-Odoi cross deflected up off Danny Rose’s head and Paulo Gazzaniga tipped it on to the far upright.
Arrizabalaga was at full stretch to Kane at the beginning of the second half before Christensen later sliced a good chance wide for Chelsea.
But Spurs looked comfortable, with Eden Hazard spending more time on the deck than he did threatening an equaliser.
