POLICE officers hunting for missing Libby Squire yesterday raided the family home of a Polish butcher.

Pawel Relowicz lives less than a mile from the spot where the 21-year-old student was last seen.

Officers seized computers from the property and also towed away his car.

They also said a 24-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of abducting Libby.

Officers searched a pond on nearby playing fields and scoured a stretch of riverbank.

Relowicz moved into the property in Hull a year ago with his wife Jagoda and their two young sons.

It is less than a mile from where University of Hull student Libby was last seen sitting on a bench eight days ago.

Forensic officers carried out fingertip searches as police removed Relowicz’s belongings including a PC and a tablet computer.

Hairdresser Iwona Reczulska, who knows the couple, said when she last saw Pawel a fortnight ago he was his “normal self” and “chatting about his kids”.

She added: “He works at a bacon factory. He’s not one to go out drinking and always tells me that he likes to spend weekends at home with the family.”
