BAD WEEK: Neeson

IT has been a bad week for Liam Neeson.

His comments about once wanting to kill a black man were as misguided as Rolf Harris walking into a school’s grounds.

But unlike convicted sex offender Rolf, Neeson didn’t actually commit a crime. Unless you count his films Taken 2 and 3, which were criminally bad.

I once got in trouble for a similar situation when I said at work that I could murder an Indian that night.

But don’t call the cops, the only thing in danger that evening was a spicy chicken tikka masala.

This will probably not work out well for Liam in the future as he has now annoyed the Twitter trolls.

Liam fell foul to a classic case of foot-in-mouth disease. Not the foot AND mouth disease that saw the Cheltenham horse racing festival cancelled in 2001.

And this year’s showpiece could well be under threat, this time from equine flu. I once worried that my pony had come down with the dreaded virus after it got a bad throat. But the vet eased my concerns when he confirmed it was just a little hoarse.

The flu crisis is a concern and has infected a number of horses. My question is, are the male horses suffering worse than the female ones?

I had secretly been getting drunk at home while wearing a stupid tweed outfit, then I discovered a day at the races.

It’s currently 9-2 with Paddy Power that the famous festival does not start as scheduled.

But it’s odds on that it will go ahead and, if it does, fill your boots with an early bet on Native River to win the Gold Cup: BETFAIR – 11-2.
