Workers health ‘at risk’

ZERO-hours workers are more likely to work night shifts and are paid less than other employees.

The TUC, which carried out the research, is calling for a ban on zero-hour contracts alongside further action to tackle insecure work.

TUC general secretary Frances O’Grady said: “Zero-hours workers regularly work through the night for low pay, putting their health at risk.”
