Tragedy of soldier

A WOMAN soldier has died after having too much to drink.

Private Mhairi Anne Burnet, 28, from the 160 Military Provost Company in Aldershot was found dead in a house at Bordon, Hants.

An inquest in Basingstoke, Hants, heard the cause of death was acute alcohol intoxication.

Private Burnet, from Fife, had just returned from a posting in Germany.

The inquest was adjourned until May.
