Will: PM needs a ‘magic’ outlook

ADVICE: Author Self AUTHOR Will Self has said that Prime Minister Theresa May should take magic mushrooms.

The 57-year-old comic and writer said that the country’s leader needed inspiration.

He said that psychotropic drugs would stop the PM and her Government from being “deranged”.

Will said: “Theresa May should take mushrooms.

“I wouldn’t recommend LSD or psychotropic drugs for everyone.

“But I would for the current government because their thinking is absolutely pathetic.

“Maybe understanding how fragile a construct the human ego is would stop them being deranged.”

Will, who battled a drink and drugs problem, including LSD and heroin, for 22 years, eventually gave up all drugs in 1998.

He told a newspaper’s magazine: “I had a proper hard-drug addiction and an alcohol addiction for 22 years, and it’s a drag.

“You see the consequences of that lying underneath the cash machine outside every Tube station.”
