40ft fall in prank

A FATHER who climbed a block of flats and broke his neighbours’ TV aerials for a “laugh” fell 40ft to his death, an inquest heard.

Rodney O’Dell, 40, had been drinking heavily and was high on cocaine when he scaled the building in Southampton.

He slipped when a pole he was holding on to snapped.

Winchester Coroner’s Court was told he suffered multiple traumatic injuries and died later in hospital.

A verdict of accidental death was recorded.
