LEE CAMP says hat-trick hero Che Adams is unstoppable.

Adams has now scored 19 this season after his second treble and is one goal away from matching Trevor Francis’ Birmingham record of hitting the net in seven straight league matches.

“I avoid him in training as much as possible and if we are doing five-a-side I try to get on his team as much as possible rather than oppose him,” said keeper Camp.

“He’s fantastic. Every day he works his socks off.

“He could easily have been distracted by all the transfer speculation in January but he’s a fantastic professional and a really good human being.

“If anything, he’s probably worked even harder and been even more professional and more conscientious.

“He’s got all the attributes of a good old-fashioned centreforward and he stands out from the rest.”

Adams scored three goals in 21 minutes as Blues raced into a 4-0 first-half lead, with Harlee Dean netting the other.

Matt Smith replied either side of the break and Jordan Cousins fired in a piledriver with 10 minutes to go.

The home side went close numerous times before earning a 93rdminute penalty when Luke Freeman was fouled by Craig Gardner only for Camp to save Nahki Wells’ spot-kick.

QPR have still not won a league match in 2019 and have lost their last four.

“The message in the dressing room was go and win the second half, which we did with aplomb,” said Smith.

“We can’t stay downbeat. The dressing room is flat because we could have won the game.”
