Jilted ex guilty of hate jibes
A MAN has admitted racially abusing another white man by calling him a white n***er.
John Cumine, 35, made a string of phone calls to his former partner and her new boyfriend.
Neil White, prosecuting, told Blackpool magistrates: “There is a rather unusual factor in this case – the fact that the male victim of what were racially offensive calls is white.”
The court heard that Cumine and the mother of his daughter had split up.
She went to live some miles away in Liverpool with her new partner. Cumine then started making phone calls to the couple.
They recorded 18 of them in the space of just three or four days.
Mr White added: “In those calls he calls the man he knows is white a n***er and makes other offensive racist comments.” Cumine, of Lytham St Annes, Lancs, admitted making offensive, menacing and obscene calls.
He was made to pay £170 costs, placed on a 16-week curfew and handed 10 rehabilitation days.
