TRAGIC LU ‘TRIPPED’ TO DEATH
‘Boyfriend feared jail term’
THE daughter of Corrie star John Michie screamed like a “wild animal” for up to six hours during a drug trip.
Model Louella became the first person to die after taking psychedelic 2C-P allegedly given to her by her rapper lover Ceon Broughton at a music festival, it was claimed in court.
Seven ravers who took the same party drug in the US had to be resuscitated with a defibrillator in hospital.
Pathologist Dr Russell Delaney told Winchester Crown Court Louella had 0.032 milligrams of 2C-P per litre of blood in her body with smaller amounts of drugs ketamine and MDMA.
She had cuts and bruises to her arms, legs, nose and face. Dr Delaney said synthetic drug 2C-P could cause “potent hallucinations ® and agitation”, an abnormally fast heart rate and increased blood pressure as well as raising body temperature. He said Louella’s “agitated behaviour continued over a number of hours and there was a degree of physical exertion”. Toxicologist Dr Stephen Morley said even a “very small” increase in dosage could have a “very detrimental” effect.
The prosecution allege Broughton did not fetch help for Louella because he was serving a suspended jail sentence and feared arrest for supplying the drug would send him to jail. Broughton, 29, from Enfield, north London, denies manslaughter and supplying a Class A drug. The trial continues.
