Police auction off crook’s £20K sneaker collection

A GUN crook’s designer trainers are expected to fetch nearly £20,000 when auctioned by police.

The 55-pair collection includes brands such as Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Valentino, Louis Vuitton and Christian Louboutin.

Isaiah Hanson-Frost’s fancy footwear was seized during a raid and is being sold under the Police Property Act.

Money will be funnelled back into “fighting crime”, Gloucestershire Constabulary said.

Hanson-Frost, 22, was jailed last April for six years after admitting being in possession of a firearm. Gloucestershire police said the shoes will be up for sale by AMS Auctions at Cheltenham Auction Centre next Thursday.

Det Insp Dave Shore-Nye said: “We often see the reason for someone to commit crime is down to their own personal greed and to make money.

“We are keen to put a stop to anyone who is living a lavish lifestyle which has been funded through crime.

“This incident shows the level Gloucestershire Constabulary will go to in order to strip a criminal of their assets and then put the money to good use.”

Hanson-Frost, of Gloucester, was jailed after an incident in the city where a firearm was discharged.

He can keep any trainers valued at less than £100. IN THE BAG: Evidence seized by police
