A Lotto luck for pooch owner

-

A PUNTER has scooped

£20,000 on a lottery game by using his pet dogs’ ages for his numbers.

The lucky gambler, known only as Vincent, has been playing Betfred’s 49s Lotto for 11 years and has used the same numbers every week.

Building site ground worker Vincent, 38, from Angus in Scotland, opted for his own age, then 27, and his mother, who was

45, along with the thenages of pooches Emma and Thumper – one and five.

He said: “I couldn’t think of any numbers back in

2008 so went for the dogs’ ages – and I’m glad I did.

“It might have been four days since the biggest win of my life but I’m still in shock, even now.

“I treated myself to a good takeaway on Saturday of kebab and chips with some vodka, and have been thinking since how I will be spending the rest of the £20,000.”

Vincent added: “My mum and dad will be getting some of it and I will be buying a new car to replace my old Vauxhall Astra.

“I have always fancied going to New York and I can afford to go there now.”

Betfred boss Fred Done said: “It’s woof justice for me – but I’m delighted Vincent will have this barking mad story to tell our American cousins.”
