SERGIO RAMOS picked up the

25th red card of his career as Real Madrid slumped to a shock

2-1 home defeat to Girona. Ramos, who was accused of deliberately picking up a booking in the Champions League midweek, walked in the final minute after collecting a second yellow card.

The loss left Santiago Solari’s side third in the table, nine points behind leaders Barcelona but the coach refused to give up on the La Liga title race.
