THEY sang Don’t Look Back In Anger, but brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher have been at war for years since the break-up of their band Oasis.

Yesterday, some might say the feud deepened as Liam announced that Noel is now threatenin­g to sue him if he uses old Oasis music in his new film.

Documentar­y As It Was is expected to premiere at Cannes Film Festival and is set to show how, little by little, Liam emerged from Noel’s shadow to start again on his own.

– While recording (What’s The Story) Morning Glory in Wales, Liam brings a group of people back to the studio while Noel is trying to work. He responds by reportedly hitting Liam over the head with a cricket bat.

August 1996 – Liam pulls out of their

MTV Unplugged gig, leaving Noel to take the lead. Liam then heckles his brother and fails to join them on their American tour.

May 2000 – Another fight in Spain in

which Liam questions the legitimacy of Noel’s daughter Anais. Noel leaves the band for the second time. Although he returns, he doesn’t complete the last leg of their European tour.

June 2005 – In an interview Noel says

prepare to go on stage in Paris, an argument breaks out, with Liam wielding Noel’s guitar “like an axe”. The show and the rest of the tour are cancelled. Noel says: “It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”

July 2011 – Noel releases the first,

Love Manchester benefit concert for victims of the Manchester Arena terror attack. Noel doesn’t show, but donates all royalties from his track Don’t Look Back In Anger, which had become an anthem of defiance for the city.

Liam tweets: “Manchester I’d like to apologise for my brother’s absence…get on af***ing plane and play your tunes for the kids you sad f***.”

– Noel headlines the We Are Manchester show that re-opens the Arena and sheds tears as he plays Don’t Look Back In Anger. Liam accuses him of crying for a “PR stunt”. Noel responds saying: “He needs to see a psychiatri­st.”

November 2017 – Noel gets a French
