HOST JACK TIPS HIM FOR TV QUIZ
BRITS host Jack Whitehall says Hugh Jackman will land a job presenting a daytime quiz show after the awards tonight.
The Aussie star will join Jack to kick off the bash with a medley from his huge movie soundtrack The Greatest Showman.
Jack said: “He’s so cool, he’s Australia’s answer to Bradley Walsh. He could definitely do The Chase!” High praise indeed!
I’ve learned that Hugh and Jack are taking a leaf out of Coldplay for his BRITs performance, with the audience given green LED wristbands to make the stage look even bigger.
Jack added: “He is singing live with about 150 dancers.
“I’ve seen the rehearsal and it’s going to be utterly spectacular.”
It is Jack’s second year hosting the UK music industry’s biggest night and he’s aware the knives will be out, no matter how funny he is.
He said: “I’ve been rehearsing in front of about 40 cameras and thought it was good practice for the actual amount of people who will be listening to me on the night.”
After a few shandys things tend to go wrong on the night, just like last year when Foo Fighters disappeared for a planned on-air chat.
Jack was speaking to former BRITs host Chris Evans on his Virgin Radio breakfast show. He warned Jack: “They don’t tell you when they don’t want you to host it any more, you only find out when you are watching it at home.”
