IDENTICAL TWIN SIS NOW MY TWIN BRO

Trans swap has made pair closer

A TWIN says watching her identical sister transition into her brother has brought them closer.

Ollie Black grew up as Rachel but came out as transgender when the pair were just 16.

Now he is set to go under the knife for breast removal surgery and marry fiancée Martha later this year.

Twin Beth revealed that although they do not look exactly the same any more, nothing has changed between them.

She said: “I don’t think him coming out as trans has changed any sort of dynamic between us.

“If anything it made us closer because Ollie could trust me in that way.”

Sales assistant Beth would even help Ollie bind his chest down when he started out on his journey.

She added: “I felt like I had nothing to get my head around.

“We were both tomboyish and he still dressed the same as to how he had been dressing after we left home and went to college.

“I can’t wait for him to finish transitioning. I know how difficult it is for him being a man with big breasts. “I can’t wait for him to get rid of them and be the man he is meant to be. “I want to be there every step of the way.” Ollie, who lives in Wakefield, West Yorks, said he had always felt “gender neutral” when he was growing up. And he always plumped for action men to play with over Barbie dolls. He said: “To be honest, I thought it was normal to feel like you’re in the wrong body.

“It was only when I got older that I realised that it wasn’t.” And he said that even after the op he will still have an identical twin. Ollie pledged: “Fundamentally we’re still identical, but I just look different and sound different now.”
