Tantrum of the opera!
THEATRE BARS HOCKEY HERO SAM FOR COUGH
HOCKEY hero Sam Quek was thrown out of a classy opera for coughing.
The Olympic gold medal winner was seething after security escorted her out of her seat at the elegant theatre.
Fans joked that she had been sent to the “naughty step” after she posted pictures of herself in a waiting room with drunks and other noisy theatregoers.
The former I’m A Celebrity star told her followers: “Just been asked to leave my seat at the Opera because I coughed twice.”
She then quipped: “Now
I’ve been escorted to some random detention room along with a couple of drunks.”
Her fans were quick to see the funny side. One wrote: “Was it Tchaicoughsky by any chance?”
Sam, 30, who seemed unimpressed with the pun, shot back: “Deserved more” and the fan followed up with: “Rimsky-Korsacough and Twitter would have imploded.”
Another joker told the star: “Sin binned at the Opera? You can take the girl out of Wirral...”
The defender was on a city break to the Austrian capital Vienna when she made the cultural detour.
But her nightmare at the opera did not put her off soaking up the art scene.
She posted a jokey picture on Twitter of her on the verge of sneezing in front of a painting. Sam wrote the caption: “If you ever want to see a museum security guard absolutely crap themselves, stand a little too close to an original Claude Monet Water Lily painting and look like you are about to sneeze...”
The Olympian added: “And, yes, I am 30 years old.”
