RUGBY UNION: SIX NATIONS
ALUN WYN JONES has warned England they are about to see the real Wales.
The Dragons are chasing what would be a record
12th straight win but they have failed to convince in their victories against France and Italy so far.
Captain Jones, who will win his 123rd cap, says his team are ready to go to the next level.
The second-row, 33, said: “We are very real about our performance levels, but to have got two wins is pleasing.
“We are our own harshest critics in the fact we have left a few tries out there. I think we’ve had four disallowed tries.
“Wales and England encounters are always historic. The players on both sides know what they want to achieve and what this game means.
“It’s all about the win at this level. There is more in us and hopefully we can show that.”
Jones has appeared in more games between Wales and England than any other player and this afternoon’s clash will be his 18th.
He added: “There is a danger we can get overly emotive, swept away, and be tired coming into the game, so there is that element of keeping our feet on the ground.
“You can go back to
2013 and other big games with England and we’ve had crescendos in the past where we’ve met at the end of the series.
“It just so happens we’re in the middle now and we’re both two from two. This game will have a big impact on the Championship and we know that.”
