HOSPITAL: Actor Luke ACTOR Luke Perry – who starred in Beverly Hills,

90210 – is in hospital after suffering a stroke.

The 52-year-old was taken ill at his LA home on the same day that a 90210 reboot was announced.

Perry has appeared in dozens of shows, most recently as Fred Andrews in the hit series Riverdale.

His representative said: “Mr Perry is currently under observation at the hospital.”

Shannen Doherty, who played Perry’s character Dylan McKay’s love interest Brenda in Beverly Hills, 90210, shared a picture of them together on the show after news of his illness broke.

Paramedics went to Perry’s home in Sherman Oaks, California, and he was taken to a nearby hospital.

Talk of a return for the

90s hit has been in the pipeline for some time, but it is not thought Perry and Doherty will be involved.

AN APE beaten up by rivals at his new zoo has finally been accepted – and even got two girlfriends.

Campaigners feared for Bili – born at Twycross Zoo, Leics – when pictures showed him with part of his ear bitten off.

And keepers at his new home in Germany received death threats from those who wanted the 10-yearold bonobo flown back to Britain.

But Bili has made headway with his fellow apes and was recently seen having sex with Mahdeblu, who is eight years his senior.

The ape is also said to be close to his girlfriend’s five-year-old daughter Akeena, who he was seen hugging tightly.

Bili has been accepted by the troop’s leader Mato, 55, at Wuppertal Zoo. Keepers say they are delighted he has finally settled in. Zoo boss Arne Lawrenz said: “This is why there must be zoos, where we can show what nature really looks like.

“For example, in the US there is a tendency to not exhibit bonobos because they are politically incorrect in terms of their sexual behaviour and aggression.”

Bili’s mother Maringa refused to care for him when he was born at Twycross in 2008.

He was flown to Frankfurt in 2009 where he was adopted by female chimps but was later moved to Wuppertal, where his problems started.

A petition signed by 300,000 people demanded he be moved to Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre near Bovington, Dorset.
