HOW long is it since

ITV brought us a whole week-long run of WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE (9pm)? Is it (a) one year; (b) nine months; (c) six months; or (d) barely five minutes?

Yep, that’s right, you’ve got £100. It was indeed barely five minutes ago. Or so it seems. But hey, who cares? For those of us who love this show (it never even bothers me that hardly anyone wins the top prize), the prospect of another five nights suits me fine. And Jeremy Clarkson in the chair?

Well, besides the fact this rhymes kind of neatly with the title, I think we’ve got to agree by now that it’s been an inspired move. I hope Chris Tarrant’s not reading this.

ALSO tonight, talking of inspired, we have the return of the brilliantly dark comedy FLEABAG (10.35pm, BBC1 – or from 10am on the BBC iPlayer and BBC Three), quite simply one of the funniest shows on TV.

This second series (the iPlayer still has the first, by the way) begins with Phoebe WallerBridge’s character forced to attend a stilted family meal, marking the engagement of her dad (Bill Paterson) and her gruesome godmother (Olivia Colman). Adding to the awkwardness is the presence of Fleabag’s sister Claire, with whom she’s had a falling-out and epicly punchable brother-in-law Martin.

Oh, and there’s a new face in the shape of Andrew ‘Moriarty’ Scott, playing a super-sweary priest to whom Fleabag takes rather a shine.

PLUS, THE BACHELOR UK kicks off a new nightly run on Channel 5 (10pm), with 17 single women battling to get their paws on personal trainer Alex.
