and in the end believe in your chance.

“I believe 100 per cent in our chance. Game by game by game, my feeling gets better about the boys because they look really ready for it.

“Who wants to be top of the table at the start of March? It’s nice but there are lots of games to play. I’m fine with chasing.”

Mo Salah wasted golden chances to win it for an off-colour Liverpool.

But Klopp believes the conditions also played a part.

He said: “It was a difficult game, opponent, and the weather circumstances didn’t help for football in general. It was just a fight.

“The wind was coming from all directions and did not help anybody.

“Getting a point from Everton is always a success because it’s our most difficult away game of the season.”

Klopp also had to defend his substitutions after being asked why he did not go for broke.

Midfielders James Milner and Adam Lallana came on and Klopp added: “We don’t play Playstation. Is there any draw we didn’t try to win?

“There are nine games to go. The good thing is we are in that battle.”

Reds defender Andy Robertson insists the pressure is now on City to hold on to top spot as the title hots up.

The Scot said: “We become the chasers now and all the pressure is on Manchester City.

“We will fight for every last ball until the whistle is blown at the end of the season.”

Everton have not beaten their rivals since 2010 but Marco Silva reckons his side deserved to end their sorry run here.

The Toffees chief said: “We deserved something more. With different decisions in our attack, we can score or create chances, but we performed well.”
