SEX shame footballer Adam Johnson is to ask prison bosses to let him out early because of his fame.

The former England star is due out on March 22 when he will have served half his six-year sentence for kissing, grooming and groping a 15-year-old fan.

But he is to apply to the governor to be allowed out of HMP Moorland near Doncaster, South Yorks, a couple of days before to avoid media interest in his release. A source revealed: “He’s been telling the lads on his wing that there will be loads of cameras outside and he wants to duck out a couple of days before to dodge all that because he’s a famous person.

“I think he means infamous. There’s no way he should be allowed special treatment.

“He should be shoved out the front gate when he’s done his time like every other lag.’’

31-yearold’s former girlfriend Stacey Flounders, who now runs her own party planning firm, is said to be making the arrangements. Johnson’s seven-bedroom property with a pool in Castle Eden, Co Durham, is set to be decked out with balloons and banners. Food and bubbly will be laid on for family and friends.

The source added: “They might be no longer together but Stacey has visited him and wanted to make the arrangements.’’ The pair have a four-year-old daughter.
