PEAKY CREEP ASSAULTED 3 WOMEN YET WALKS FREE

Thug’s 10 years of violence

A STEROID-pumped Peaky Blinders extra who beat up a string of women has dodged jail again.

Oliver Cox met victims online and wooed them with romantic gestures before turning violent.

After changing his name he failed to appear under Clare’s Law where people can check with police if a partner has a history of violence. It allowed the 33-year-old, who has also appeared in Coronation Street and sparred with Ricky Hatton, to launch another attack. A guilty plea last month to assault occasioning actual bodily harm on single mum Lyndsey Yarwood, 35, resulted only in an 18-week suspended sentence. The mum-of-two looked up his past using Clare’s Law after meeting him on dating website Plenty Of Fish but claims she was told there was nothing of concern.

However less than a year earlier he was convicted of assaulting former girlfriend Rosie Benson, 31, on Christmas Day 2017, and given a community order.

Weeks before attacking Lyndsey, Cox had been told by police to cease contacting another ex, Jen Atherton, after a campaign of harassment.

And just months before meeting Jen, 28, he had pleaded guilty to attacking another woman on a night out in Newcastle but walked free after paying a £600 fine.

Cox also allegedly made up a woman named Rachel who he would “confide in” about his violence, even creating her an Instagram account.

Cox’s history of violence stretches back a decade after he was convicted of headbutting a man in 2009 who reportedly tried to stop him attacking another ex.

Lyndsey is furious her Clare’s Law request failed. Wiltshire Police is now conducting an investigation.

With Cox still on the streets, Lyndsey, Rosie and Jen are speaking out to warn other women so that he does not do it again to “some other poor girl”.

Lyndsey, from Melksham, Wilts, said: “He was everything you see in rom-coms: rose-petal baths; cooking dinner; brilliant with the kids. And so believable – the lies and everything. It’s mad. I’m pretty sure it’s going to take for him to actually kill someone for the courts to punish him properly.”

Cox, who now calls himself Bart Milben, blamed his behaviour on steroids, claiming he was “not a monster” but admitted he was “surprised” at not being jailed.
