EUROPE’S largest conservation charity, the National Trust, has teamed up with natural pet food makers Forthglade for their new Dogs Welcome project.

Over the next three years, the charity will put developments in place so dog owners can enjoy a day out with their four-legged friends, while helping to protect the places cared for by the trust.

Project manager Rachel Forsyth says: “We’re excited to make the experience for dog owners and their beloved companions even more special.

“We’re thrilled to have the support and expertise of Forthglade.”

To help the scheme, the Devonbased food company has launched a new range of all-natural gourmet dinners which will be available to buy from National Trust shops.

Sales will contribute at least £50,000 a year to support the trust’s conservation work.

A natural cold-pressed dry food and selection of treats will also be launched later in the year.
