LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp improved his English by listening to Talksport – even though he thinks they talk “unbelievable bulls**t”.

The German manager says tuning into the sports phone-in radio station helped him pick up football lingo and work out different accents.

Klopp, who marks his fourth anniversary in charge of the Reds next week, said: “Before I came here, I listened to Talksport.

“They talk unbelievable bulls**t, but I picked up English football terms and heard different dialects – Scottish for sure, probably Irish. I carried on listening when I got here.

“Just half an hour on the way to work and half an hour back improved my language and gave me a range of words.”

Klopp, 52, has a number of different accents in his Champions League winning squad, including Yorkshireman James Milner, captain Jordan Henderson from Sunderland and local lad Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Klopp was quizzed on life and football by celebrity Liverpool fan John Bishop for a new book out today called A Game Of Two Halves.

Author Amy Raphael got famous supporters to interview football figures. Proceeds from the sales go to the UN Refugee Agency.

Klopp, who revealed in August he learned basic English watching US sitcom Friends, added: “My English is still not too good, but it’s good enough obviously to send out my message.”
