GOOGLE wants a place in your pocket and your home, with new smart gadgets launched in New York this week. Here’s everything that was announced and when you can get them.

PIXEL 4 and PIXEL 4XL:

The Pixel 4 smartphone will help you take pictures that are out of this world.

With its Astrophotography setting you can point the duallens snapper at the sky and capture stunning shots of the moon and stars.

Two other bonus extras on the Pixel 4’s camera include Social Share for quick uploading to your favourite sites, and Frequent Faces, which learns who your friends and family are to make sure they are always in focus.

Along with that new camera there’s also a faster processor, quicker charging and facial recognition that unlocks the phone in a flash.

Users will also be able to interact with the Pixel without ever touching the screen as it features Motion Sense.

This will detect simple swipes over the phone, with gestures allowing you to snooze alarms, skip songs and silence incoming calls.

The feature is already compatible with YouTube Music, Spotify and other music apps, with more to follow.

The standard Pixel 4 gets a 5.7-inch display and the Pixel 4 XL features a 6.3-inch OLED screen.

They will be in shops from October 24 and prices will be starting from

£669.

GOOGLE NEST MINI: The popular Google Home Mini is back with a new name and bigger features.

Although the new Nest Mini looks almost identical to its predecessor, this speaker has been completely rebuilt.

And the best upgrade comes to the sound which helps it to boom out your favourite tracks at much louder volumes.

This is, of course, a smart speaker and the in-built Google Assistant is also getting some improvements via the machine - learning chip and more microphones. This should help it hear every question you ask it with a response arriving in a flash.

Other new features include better touch controls, more colours and the ability to screw it to your wall. It’s out on October 22 and costs £49.99.

GOOGLE Wi-Fi: We all use Google to search the web but now the firm is helping to boost your time on the internet.

Its new wi-fi booster not only beams a better signal throughout your home but also works as an extra smart device.

This means you can ask it to turn on your lights, play music and even reveal how fast your broadband is.

Google Nest Wi-Fi is out next month and costs £239.
