‘You know we love you’.” Eboue’s fragile mental and emotional state became clearer in later years when he fell on hard times.

The value of that visit from fans cannot be underestimated in terms of helping the Ivorian to get back on track.

With that in mind, Xhaka might just be brought back from the brink by the trio of Arsenal players who took the step of visiting him at home on Sunday night.

If we really are in a period of enlightenment, then perhaps Xhaka should be given the room to apologise and explain his p position. Gunners legend Ian Wright, in his analysis ysis on Match of the Day y 2, identified what he believed to be e Xhaka’s unwillingness to want the ball.

The Red Devils beat the Canaries 3-1 to register their first away win in the Premier League since February.

He said: “The one thing we can get better at is making more clear-cut opportunities for each other. For me, that’s the next step.

“We’re creating and making half-chances, but as forwards, the easier the goals you can get, the better.

“We’ve been working hard and I think if we keep that up it’ll become easier for us.

“It’s positive and we can do better, but we take the three points and just try to improve.”

Rashford, 21, notched his 50th goal for United at Carrow Road and he hailed the performance of £15m summer signing Daniel James, who provided another fine assist for the striker.

James, also 21, has been a revelation since joining from Swansea, scoring three goals and providing two assists – both for Rashford – in 13 appearances.

The England hitman added: “He’s had a brilliant impact.

“The main thing is that he’s working hard for the team and the other stuff just comes with the game. He’s the prime example of that.

“It’s a brilliant ball from Dan, even to recognise the space.

“When we play like that, it’s devastating.

“I think if us three can keep doing that on a regular basis, then we’ll definitely get some more points.”
