ANT McPartlin gets into the spirit of Halloween during a theme park Fright Night event.

The TV presenter tried scaring himself to death on the terrifying rides at Thorpe Park in Surrey. ★

Girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett dressed up for the occasion with white face make-up.

And Ant went one step further by covering his face with fake blood.

PARALYMPIAN Will Bayley said last night he was “gutted” at being forced to quit Strictly after sustaining an agonising leg injury.

The 31-year-old table tennis champion damaged a knee ligament last Saturday in a freak accident during last-minute rehearsals for his jive on the live show.

He was unable to take part in the Halloween-themed episode with partner Janette Manrara but under show rules they were given a bye through to this weekend.

But doctors have now ruled that Will is not fit to dance and has been told to rest so he can no longer take part in the contest.

Last night Will broke down in tears on Strictly: It Takes Two as he felt his exit curtailed his hopes of inspiring other disabled people.

He said: “I’m gutted. I was so scared of dancing. It meant more than just a show – I just wanted to try and help people as well.”

Pro dancer Janette had to wipe the tears off his face.

Will – who was born with arthrogryposis which affects all four of his limbs – added: “I didn’t want it to end like this. I didn’t mind properly ending it.” He and Janette survived six weeks on the BBC show without being in the dance-off and would have been doing a waltz this week. There are nine stars left in the competition.

As a result, the final on December 14 will now have three celebrities battling for the Glitterball trophy instead of four. Strictly executive producer Sarah James said: “We are so sad that Will is unable to continue on the show. “He will be greatly missed and we wish him a speedy recovery.”
