KYLE IS AN OGRE
HOST JOKES AS SHREK..WHILE MPs BLAST ‘ABUSIVE’ SHOW:
JEREMY Kyle joked with celebrity pals about being jobless hours before MPs blasted the “abusive” TV host for failing talk show guests.
The 54-year-old laughed as he told fellow guests at a charity Halloween bash they should give generously because they were all working and he is “out of work”.
Jezza was in light-hearted mood as he and his pregnant fiancée Vicky Burton dressed up as Shrek and Princess Fiona for the event in Newcastle.
But furious MPs laid into the star yesterday after raw footage from The Jeremy Kyle Show leaked by a whistleblower showed him using “provocative and sometimes abusive language towards participants”.
The abuse could then “be edited out of the broadcasted show”.
MPs on the Department for Culture, Media and Sport committee accused ITV Studios of “corporate failure of responsibility”.
They described the leaked scenes as showing “humiliation, denigration and provocation”.
And committee chairman Damian Collins said: “There was no safe space for anyone in a highly distressed state.”
The comments came in the wake of the suspected suicide of guest Steve Dymond, who died days after failing a lie detector test on the show.
Entertainer Christopher Biggins, who was at the bash in Newcastle, said
Kyle “was in good spirits”. The 70-year-old added: “He did say to people ‘Everyone should give money to this charity because you’re all working – and I’m out of work!’”
JEREMY Kyle makes callous jokes about being jobless while MPs single him out for trashing his guests.
The baying reality telly host would provoke and hurl abuse at vulnerable people to spark reactions.
Producers then edited out his bad behaviour, an inquiry by MPs on the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee has found.
A whistleblower leaked shocking raw footage to MPs.
The foul scenes that made it to TV were bad enough.
It is hard to imagine just how grim the real-life exchanges in the studio were.
Shy Jeremy has so far refused to appear at the reality telly inquiry, yet he schmoozed with celeb pals at a Halloween party.
He cracked jokes about being axed. But the spotlight is now firmly on him. Vile Kyle made a living from humiliating distraught and troubled people.
Now it is him who should feel utterly ashamed.
