FEAR WE GO AGAIN

Gray: Flying Foxes a real worry for rivals

- ■ by JAMES NURSEY

DEMARAI GRAY says Leicester’s red-hot form has got the entire Premier League worried – again.

Brendan Rodgers’ side made it four topflight wins on the trot when they beat Arsenal 2-0, with James Maddison and Jamie Vardy netting. They boast the leading goalscorer in Vardy, on 11, and have the best defensive record in the division. Their next run of games after the international break sees them take on Brighton, Everton, Watford, Aston Villa and Norwich. Hopes are rising that the shock 2016 champions could mount another unlikely title bid.

And Gray is urging the secondplaced Foxes to keep up the pressure on leaders Liverpool, saying: “We have the quality to beat any team. “It’s just about mentality really and I think you can see our spirit and the characters we’ve got in the team.

“When we’re all together and on it, we’re a tough team to face, whether we go home or away.

“I think everyone will fear us now.

“We want to give teams that impression, that it’s never going to be easy against us. Everyone can see we’re playing proper football.”

Winger Gray credits the work Rodgers has done on the training ground for turning them around.

He added: “We attack properly and defend properly and I think that’s where we’re evolving as a team and improving. It’s all from the training ground.

“The gaffer gives us all the information. We’ve just got to put it in place on the pitch.”

Gray has come off the bench in Leicester’s last four games to make an impact and insists he cannot complain about not starting.

“I’m in a good bit of form,” he said. “Whether it’s starting or off the bench, I’ve just got to try to help the team and do what I do.”
